Environment & Public Health Security: Upcoming Breakout Workshop on Women, Health and the Environment

January 18th - 20th, 2012 Washington, D.C. The National Council for Science and the Environment is hosting a workshop on Women, Health and the Environment.

As we face the growing pressures of resource scarcity, the upcoming Workshop on Women, Health and the Environment, moderated by Rebecca Wadler (Sustainability Education Program Associate, Izaak Walton League)will explore how these issues are connected, including women-centered approaches which have proven to be effective not only for girl’s and women’s health, but also for education and economic opportunities, and environment sustainability. Leading Population, Health and Environment projects globally will provide compelling evidence for successful approaches, while new “women-centered approaches” to growing conservations challenges with water, climate, species, and forest resources will also featured.”
