Environment & Public Health Security: Breakout Workshop 16. Women, Health and the Environment

The National Council for Science and the Environment is hosting its 16th Breakout Workshop on Environment & Public Health Security, entitled Women, Health and the Environment.

Discussions at the workshop on Women, Health and the Environment will address increasing concerns regarding resource scarcity, ecological degradation, climate change and population growth. Discussions at the January 2012 will "explore how these issues are connected, including women-centered approaches which have proven to be effective not only for girl’s and women’s health, but also for education and economic opportunities, and environment sustainability. Leading Population, Health and Environment projects globally will provide compelling evidence for successful approaches, while newer women-centered approaches to growing conservations challenges with water, climate, species, and forest resources will also featured."
